✨ Let's dive into the world of support macro and elevate your gameplay! ✨

📚 Learning Macro: The Crucial Role of Wave Control 📚

Wave control is the foundation of every decision you make as a support, even though you don't farm. It affects your roaming, trading, recalling, and more. While your ADC has direct control over the wave, understanding their goals and assisting them can give you a significant advantage. Most support players ignore this crucial skill, so by mastering wave control, you'll gain an edge over your opponents.

🌊 Importance of Wave Control: Wave control offers numerous benefits. As a caster support, having a pushing wave provides flexibility in landing skill shots. It also denies your opponents the safety of hiding behind minions. Moreover, fighting in big waves can be troublesome for melee champions, so manipulating the wave gives you an advantage in engaging and chasing down enemies.

🔁 Roaming: The Ultimate Driving Experience 🔁

Roaming is often touted as the key to carrying games as a support. But how do you roam effectively without your ADC dying? Let's compare roaming to driving a car. Just as accidents are unavoidable when driving, your ADC's death during a roam cannot be prevented entirely. However, the benefits of roaming outweigh the risks.

🚗 Roaming Strategy: Look for the universal sign to roam, which is when the wave is pushing back into your ADC. This allows your ADC to play patiently and safely while you're away. Plan your roams after crashing a wave and recalling, as the wave will bounce back towards your ADC. Before roaming, assess the likelihood of success and the safety of leaving your ADC alone.

🔍 Vision Control: Warding for Success 🔍

Once you unlock your support item and gain three wards, your main goal is to establish effective vision. Don't limit your wards to the bot lane only; find opportunities to move towards the mid lane and place wards there. Mid lane has high traffic from supports and junglers, and it encourages your mid laner to roam and prevents enemy roams. Placing one to two wards in mid and around the objective areas will greatly benefit your team.

🐲 Securing Dragons: Winning Lane Leads the Way 🐲

When you're winning lane, taking dragons becomes a natural consequence. Focus on dominating your lane, and the dragons will come naturally, denying the enemy team the opportunity to secure them. As a support, being in the mid lane grants you access to both objectives, allowing you to ward effectively and respond quickly to skirmishes and fights.

🌟 Playing Around Fed Teammates 🌟

If you have a teammate who is significantly ahead, don't just cling to them and neglect other responsibilities. Instead, practice "shadowing." Stay near them but not right next to them, providing crucial information to counter enemy attacks and turn fights in your favor. Avoid being predictable by babysitting your teammate throughout the game.

🏰 Mid Lane: Your Macro Hub 🏰

As a support, you'll find yourself around the mid lane most of the time. This positioning enables you to maintain optimal vision and respond to the various fights that occur in solo queue. While your ADC may push a side lane, trust them to farm while you focus on controlling the mid area, where most objectives and skirmishes take place.

🔒 Warding Deep: Gaining an Edge 🔒

To gain an advantage and anticipate enemy plays, venture deeper into the enemy territory to place wards strategically. Deep wards allow you to see enemy movements before they commit to a play, empowering you to avoid or counter their actions. Pay close attention to the map and seize opportunities to place deep wards when the enemy team is revealed.

🎯 Three Quick Tips for Success 🎯

1️⃣ Sharing Gold: While engaging with your ADC on towers, it's generally fine to hit them as a caster support. You can earn extra gold by proccing Spellthief's Edge on towers. However, be cautious not to take away too much gold from your ADC or make towers harder to take.

2️⃣ Basing for Wards: If you run out of ward charges and there's no immediate action, don't hesitate to base and restock on vision. Finding opportunities to base strategically will provide you with a fresh supply of wards, enhancing your map control.

3️⃣ Rotating for Plays: Be the first to rotate when you spot a potential play on the map. While your teammates may have other responsibilities, as a support, you can swiftly respond to opportunities, assisting your team and securing objectives.

Yes, placing wards is super important in the support role, having vision of any roaming that the enemy may perform is super important to avoid any ambush, good contribution!

My recommendation is to always tell your adc before roaming, many adcs play aggressive when their support is roaming and die from it, so remember to always tell your adc before roaming!
