Reply to any topics, just make it sure your comments are related to the topic so you avoid message delete in the forum 1 comment in any topic equivalent to 1 message, if you dont want to comment in any thread you can make your own topic ,1 topic is also equivalent to 1 messages but make it sure you are posted in the right topic section and avoid non sense topic.
