1. Click the Start button, then click the arrow next to Shut Down, then click Restart.
2. As your computer starts, press and hold the F8 button. If the Windows logo appears, you'll need to try again by shutting down and restarting your computer.
3. On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Last Known Good Configuration (advanced), and then press Enter. Windows will start normally.

The first solution:

Reinstall the program or game, and during installation, make sure the antivirus is off and the Internet is off.

The second solution:

Run the program as an administrator. To do this, right-click on the program and select Run application as administrator.

The third solution:

Some programs and games also give this error in some cases due to the old and incompatible with the new Windows. To solve this problem, MicroSoft has installed modes on Windows that help a lot in solving this problem, for example in Windows 8. We want to run a program in xp mode:

Right-click on the program and select properties. Click on the Compatibility tab and check the Run this program in comipatibility mode for option and select the desired version of Windows.
