Hello community , I'm a physiotherapist , and I want to share with you some tips to help you stay away from the side effects of sitting still for too long while playing games.
Tip 1: Improve your posture :-
Sit with a straight spine instead of slouching
Keep your elbows at 90 degrees to help avoid nerve compression.
Keep your arms close to your sides
Keep your feet flat on the floor
Relax your shoulders
Keep your lumbar spine on 110 deg curve if possible
Tip 2: Optimise your desk set-up:-
Keep regularly-used items like a phone or notepad within easy reach
Place your monitor at eye level, perpendicular to the top of the viewable part of the screen. This allows you to see a greater portion of the screen without looking up or down too far, reducing strain on the neck
Place your monitor directly in front of your seat, to ensure you’re not twisting your back or neck to see it
If you sit all the way back in a chair, use a lumbar cushion or get a chair with built-in lumbar support
Tip 3: Regular exercises and stretches :-
Remember this is a mobile world , don't stay home playing games while you are quarantied all day long !
Do home work outs to stay fit , eat healthy and forget the junk food please .
Exercise your mind too ! not just your body , you need to read books , watch valuable movies and do good for the people around you.
Finally, I'm ready to answer your questions about back pain or neck pain feel free to leave a message and I will help you out for sure stay home and stay safe .
