If video games don't work anymore, go get a life. I experienced this myself. I was so addicted to playing games back then that I bet my money on competing in video games, but the time has come where I've done that for years and it's not that fun anymore. So I agree with someone above that you should find a new hobby or interest.

If what you mean is you got bored the first time you try playing a couple of video games, that's normal. You're just not used to it and maybe you don't like the game that you are playing or because you're getting old now. Playing video games can be boring and not fun when you have a lot of responsibilities to think of while playing, responsibilities come when we age.

actually I don't like side quests in video games, many of them are just boring to me and don't have the same complexity as the main quest. But some games I like the sidequest, like The Witcher 3

Yea its a gamers burden when the boredom takes place in a gameplay, but trying different game types and finding new grindy games can help killing the boredom that came in the first place. For example I got bored pretty quickly when I played only LOL but mixing it with The Binding of Isaac, CS:GO and RDR2 helps having fun with LOL again.
