Mukbang is a South Korean food trend where viewers watch others eat food online. While Mukbang can have benefits such as helping to reduce stress and allowing viewers to learn about local cuisine, I believe it also has some undesirable consequences. Mukbang encourages overeating, poses health risks, and can affect the psychological well-being of viewers. Additionally, Mukbang often promotes food waste and does not ensure fairness in food distribution. Therefore, while I appreciate the sharing of passion for food and cultural exchange, I also think we should be cautious of the unintended consequences of the Mukbang trend.
