I totally get where you're coming from! For me, what really amps up the fun in gaming is the sense of immersion and escapism it provides. It's like jumping into another universe where I can live a different life, be it a hero, an explorer, or even a villain. The sense of accomplishment when completing challenging quests or when my strategy works out just right is just so satisfying.
