From personal experience, I'd say Vi is easy to pick up and you can be ult-bot for your team.
You generally want to pick more of a tank or support-jungler if you are not expecting to carry games yourself, however, be careful that these sort of picks are in danger of being invaded by enemy jungler. Especially if they consider you to be the weakest link in your team.
