why do you cheat in a competitive game?

I do not understand why people cheat in competitive games, like csgo, dota 2 and so on.

I play Dota 2, Rocket league and are top 0.05% in the world at peak (immortal rank <1000 and Grand Champions 2 and have never felt a need to cheat in them.

In games where there is mindless grinding like Genshin, BDO, Lost Ark i would cheat in the pvE to save time.

I cheat for fun and fun only. also I can still dominate in FPS games without cheats. though we are on the same boat at the MMO side like Lost ark, I'm also hacking to clear time on dungeons and quests.
