I have many favorite books, but one of my all-time favorites is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. It is a hilarious and thought-provoking book that explores the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. The book follows the adventures of Arthur Dent, a hapless Englishman who escapes the destruction of the Earth with his friend Ford Prefect, who turns out to be an alien researcher who was stranded on Earth for fifteen years while gathering information for the titular Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a pan-galactic encyclopaedia and travel guide for hitchhikers.
