any body know about DIY eGPU, is it good to couple a i7- 7th gen with a GTX 1060(desktop) ?

my specs are : processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7820HQ CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz ram : 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable) brand : dell model : latitude 5580 this varient has a thurderbolt 3 port i want to attach a eGPU gpu : gtx 1660
