Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed to Mohammad PBUH
Quran was revealed in Night of Qadar in Month of Ramadan
Allah says, that Night of Qadar is better than thousand months of worshiping if you worship in the Night of Qadar.
In this month all Muslims are commended by God to Fast

how are they gonna celebrate ramadan whit out mosque ?

we don't worship statues and sculptures, or portraits, we worship the God, the unseen God in everywhere, he is nearer than the vain of humans nick, the mosque is only for praying together, for unity, and if mosques are closed although in our country Afghanistan mosques are not closed, but even it is closed worship is something we must do it, whether in the mosque or at home or at the job or in the street or on the mountain top, important is that we must worship Allah, didn't you get it?
