About Corvid-19

Hello lovely people, we all know how this pandemic has placed a lot of things off grid. This is my country now:
Ghana

Deaths : 51
One of my greatest worry is the countries with thousands of deaths. How do families of these wonderful people cope, what is fate of our world now?
Also I always wondered about the name Corvid-19. This small piece of an article I read not long ago suprised me:

COVID-19 is the name given by the World Health Organization (WHO) on February 11, 2020
for the disease caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
It started in Wuhan, China in late 2019 and has since spread worldwide.
COVID-19 is an acronym that stands for coronavirus disease of 2019.

I thought the virus went haywire this year.
