So i am having issues with my gpu for past few days, it fails to show display so then i have to put it under sunlight to warm it up and then wait for it to cool down to room temp so that i can plug it in and boot pc again. Any solutions or what the problem might be?

take the card to the technician try to repair this card, but i suggest you if the card is old then it's high time to take a new card. sometimes technicians gonna charge a high price to repair card. so it's your call. when it get repaired the problem is not fully gone it will come someday.

your gpu is dead you need a new one or repaird it if possible

i had this problem too all i did is i reinstalled the gpu driver

This experience of heating an electrical circuit and then putting it to use is very common.

When you see your message your problem must be due to cold solder or some damaged track... It is possible for a normal user to detect these errors.
Try looking at the tracks and solders on your board with your cell phone camera, check if all the contacts are connected and if the tracks don't have any disconnection.

The problem might be that the GPU is not receiving enough power. Try plugging the GPU into a different power outlet and see if that solves the problem. If not, the problem might be with the GPU itself and you may need to get a new one.
