Yes, I learned it at school in the physical education class I had at my school. Particularly I was good, I won some championships between schools, I learned a lot of techniques and moves. I rarely play these days.

Yes, but I'm not a professional, I remember that the first time I played it was in a competition at school, I lost in 3 or 4 moves hahahaha... after that I started to delve a little deeper, but I only knew the basics, which is enough to have fun.

Chess is a two-player strategy game played on a square board divided into 64 squares of alternating colors. Each player starts with 16 pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns. The goal of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king, which means to put the king in a position where it is under attack and cannot escape capture.

  1. The game begins with the white player moving first.
  2. The pieces are set up in a specific formation at the start of the game, with pawns in front and more powerful pieces in the back.
  3. Pawns move forward one square at a time, but capture diagonally.
  4. Rooks can move any number of squares horizontally or vertically.
  5. Knights move in an L-shape (two squares in one direction and then one more turn).
  6. Bishops can move any number of squares diagonally.
  7. The queen can move any number of squares horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
  8. The king can move one square in any direction.
  9. You can promote your pawns to queen if they reach the opposite end of the board
  10. The game is won by placing the opponent's king in "checkmate" (a position where the king is under attack and cannot escape capture).
It's important to develop a strategy and consider how your moves will impact the board and your opponent's pieces. There are many resources available online to learn more about chess strategy and tactics.

I learned at the beginning of school.
a classmate from a very early age was addicted to chess, so he taught me and we played a lot.
Currently I don't play as much but I still remember the movement of the pieces.

Don't spend a lot of time studying/memorizing openings. This is the #1 mistake of new players. Play open games (e4) whenever possible.>

Amazing advice. I'm fairly good at chess and it frustrates me so much when new players get locked into memorizing openings.
