Cleanse is a summoner spell that can be used by champions to remove certain types of crowd control effects and summoner spell debuffs from themselves. When used, Cleanse will immediately remove the following debuffs from the champion:

1. All forms of crowd control effects, including stuns, slows, roots, taunts, fears, silences, blinds, and immobilizes. Examples of crowd control abilities that can be removed by Cleanse include:
  • Ashe's Enchanted Crystal Arrow (stun)
  • Morgana's Dark Binding (root)
  • Rammus's Taunt (taunt)
  • Jhin's Deadly Flourish (root)
2. Ignite and Exhaust summoner spell debuffs, which reduce the target's healing or movement speed, respectively. Examples of summoner spell debuffs that can be removed by Cleanse include:
  • Ignite's healing reduction debuff
  • Exhaust's movement speed reduction debuff

Now, lets talk about what Cleanse cannot do.
There is one additional type of debuff that Cleanse cannot remove. Cleanse cannot remove suppression effects. Suppression effects are a type of crowd control that completely disables the target's ability to use summoner spells and abilities.

Examples of suppression effects that cannot be removed by Cleanse include:

  • Warwick's Infinite Duress
  • Malzahar's Nether Grasp
  • Skarner's Impale

However, it is important to note that Cleanse does not remove certain debuffs, such as supression, damage over time effects like ignite or poison. Examples of debuffs that Cleanse cannot remove include:

  • Teemo's Toxic Shot (poison)
  • Darius's Bleed (damage over time)
  • Swain's Ravenous Flock (damage over time)
Additionally, Cleanse cannot remove certain debuffs applied by items or runes, such as Morellonomicon's Grievous Wounds or Red Buff's slow. Examples of debuffs that Cleanse cannot remove include:
  • Morellonomicon's Grievous Wounds (healing reduction)
  • Red Buff's slow
It's also important to note that Cleanse has a cooldown of 210 seconds (3.5 minutes) before it can be used again.

I hope this detailed explanation helps clarify what Cleanse does and does not remove in League of Legends!

There are quite a lot of people who don't use Cleanse, especially with zed or katarina, which for me is VERY important, in late and early game.
