your family thinks that if you do engineering you will get jobs easily and fast but for CS i recommend you to give them more information about it and for my suggestion i would prefer you to go with engineering it works everywhere

Do what you always wanted to do, don't let others make this choice for you, I always wanted to go to music school, but was denied by my mom, due to our finances, even when I had the conditions she still got angry at that...in the end, I got a graduated in Computer Science and I work on a job that bores me everyday, the salary is good, the best I would say, but it is not what makes me happy at all.

Why not something like software engineering? Depends if you enjoy and are good at maths or not, mechanical/electrical/software engineering will be more focused on the mathematics in these fields than CS so I would say pick which you enjoy
