5. Sailor Moon - A classic magical girl series about a group of girls who fight to defend love and justice.

I think a great beginner anime to watch is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, it's such a fun and action-packed show with a great story and characters. It's definitely one of my all-time favorites.
