Thermal paste with a good quality will provide the best possible performance..

I don't have advice for gaming laptop but for my gaming desktop i never repaste my thermal paste even after 5 years (i fix my desktop when issues happen) and still no problem running games. I just blow-clean all rhe dust away because dust can cause overheating
