Warframe sucks in the beginning, the new player experience is terrible, although DE is working on improving this part, they already made some changes but still, there's so much stuff to absorve an so much stuff that isn't explained that it can be (mostly will be...) overwhelming. But the community is very helpful, any doubt you have, the community will guide you and help you with anything.
Once you pick up the pace, you understand how the game works, how you get better gear and how you improve your gear, it becomes an awesome experience and very fun, especially if you're the kind of person that craves a fast paced game.
At later game tho, and depending on your goals, the game can either be still pretty good (if your goal is to have every piece of weapon/frame/companion/etc/etc) or it can become boring, for me, I've reached boredom, since my goal is to have fun and not have everything, and tbh, at later game you get so OP that anything the game has to offer (including new content) in terms of gameplay becomes trivial and to add fuel into the fire, DE seems to be appealing more to new players while leaving behind "veterans" (nerfing mobs and such). The game has a lot of issues in terms of balancing, but this has always been a thing with Warframe.
WF isn't pay2win, but more pay2skip, you don't need to buy the premium currency (Platinum) since players can trade it among themselves, and everything that is on the market can be obtained through gameplay (with the exception of most skins), ofc you're going to have to deal with the RNG but most stuff is very very easy to get. Just a tip, do not be scared with the Platinum values presented in the Arsenal or the Market, as this seems to be something that scares a lot of new players, making them think that you have to pay Platinum in order to obtain it, you don't, in the Market there's a filter to show only stuff that is bought with Credits (the in-game currency), as for the rest, like I said, you can farm it and if you don't want to farm it nor buy Platinum, you can sell stuff for Platinum to other players. But if by any change you plan on buying Platinum, wait for the 75% Platinum Discount (PC) that comes in the daily login.
Also, use that Platinum wisely, you need slots for Warframes/Weapons/Companions (like inventory slots, with the exception of resources which has infinite room) so, save it for slots or skins, if you rush the game by buying frames/gear you're missing out on a huge part of the gameplay, I've seen a lot of people making this mistake and just drop the game after a couple of weeks because they whale on everything and end up with nothing to do.
Overall, yes, Warframe is pretty good, last time a game got me this hooked was over 15 years ago... so.... Try it.... It's free.....
Edit: Oh and it is best played with friends, if you don't have anyone to play with, just hook up with the community.
