maybe the problem is your usb port, try another port

Eject to avoid chance of corrupting your USB. Its very rare but better be safe.

i think yes, ejecting USB like you have door and you have a key.if you just only open and close the door, someone except you will enter your house. but if you have a key you lock the door someone except you cannot enter your house. in other words your data will be safe.
