Prerequisites:

  1. Check Version: Ensure you're using Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, or Education, or Windows 11 Pro or Enterprise.
  2. Virtualization: Make sure your processor supports virtualization (Intel VT-x or AMD-V).
  3. BIOS/UEFI: Enable virtualization in your BIOS/UEFI settings.

Enabling Windows Sandbox:

  1. Open Control Panel:
    • Search for "Control Panel" in the Start menu.
  2. Programs:
    • Click on "Programs" and then "Turn Windows features on or off."
  3. Enable Windows Sandbox:
    • In the list, find "Windows Sandbox" and check the box next to it.
    • Click "OK" and wait for the installation to complete.
  4. Restart:
    • You may need to restart your computer if prompted.

Running Windows Sandbox:

  • After rebooting, search for "Windows Sandbox" in the Start menu and launch it.

Windows Sandbox provides an isolated environment. Any changes made inside the sandbox do not affect your main OS, which protects your system from malware, viruses, or malicious apps.

Any actions, installations, or configurations you make within the Sandbox are temporary. When you close it, the environment resets, protecting your system from potential malware or accidental changes
