First, what video card are you using? if it's from the G-force line, you have the option of using the turbo and it will definitely help. Then I fear the version of windows and if it is updated. Depending on the game, you need to lower the graphics resolution (I believe this is the best option) 
all most 90fps don all time play

u need good graphics drivers like 30 series and latest is 40 series.
