Money is the best gift i think if its not money i prefer to be a memorial gift something that i can keep for long time and every time i see it i remeber . Or at least flowers
My favorite gifts are non-occasion gifts. I am not crazy about Christmas, birthday, valentines, and all of that commercial nonsense. But I adore a gift that was given to me because someone saw it and just knew it was for me. It doesn’t matter, big or small, cheap or expensive. My second favorite is gifts that match my current interests; for example, if I am talking about wanting to eat healthier plant-based meals and I just got an instapot, get me a cookbook for that not one that focuses on deserts or meats. Don’t give me junk food if I’m trying to improve my diet -give me a subscription to a healthy food delivery service. The best gifts I gave this year came from spending a day visiting and listening. It also bothers me when my husband overpays instead of waiting for a decent deal just because he wants to be done with shopping. He knows I can squeeze a dime to make it a quarter. It is almost a game for me. We rarely give each other holiday gifts because we buy for each other all year long. We use holidays to spend time together and as a touchstone to make sure we are tight.
I am not a big gift giver nor receiver. I enjoy playing board and card games (as long as players aren’t too into winning) Doing that with me for an evening is my favorite gift!
I do try to honor those with gifts that have that need as their love language though.
