Most people say that a Laptop is better but obviously there are disadvantages to that.
Having a 15-17 inch screen is not that comfortable while playing FPS especially to spot stuff far by compared to a full-fledged Monitor Setup with a Desktop.
As for the performance, the border is slim and it will lessen as time goes on.
I have a custom-built Desktop as well as an MSI GS75 and I'm happy with both.

How about high and powerfull laptop?

Mate, I'm speaking from experience, I've got an MSI GS75 Stealth 8SG with RTX 2070, the 17 inch Screen model.
However powerful your Laptop maybe, the issue is the screen size, I just couldn't compare to the Normal/Widescreen Gaming Monitors.
If not for that I would prefer the Laptop.
