8Gb is what you need for most of the games, some games that are coming out now maybe need 16Gb, it'll not increase a lot of performance, but it's good to have 16Gb, so you don't need to switch after.

I am using 16GB ram, it's pretty good at the moment.

Get a 3600MHz ram im currently using a ryzen 5 3600 with 16gb 3600MHz rams and the difference is noticeable from 2666 and 3000 but barely any difference between 3200 and 3600. Also performance depends on the game you are playing.... some games work well even with low end pc while some need almost all the performance available *cough* X4 *cough*

now in 2021 all games need more gb so from now you need 16gb and high
