Windows version 22H1 did not exist. The latest version available at that time was Windows 10 version 21H1. However, if you ever need to downgrade from a newer version of Windows 10 to an older one, you can follow these general steps:
Please note that downgrading to an older version of Windows 10 is not a standard procedure supported by Microsoft. Additionally, downgrading your operating system can result in the loss of data, settings, and applications. Therefore, it is essential to back up your important files before attempting any downgrade.

  1. Backup Your Data: Before proceeding with any OS downgrade, back up all your important files and data to an external drive or cloud storage.
  2. Create a Bootable Installation Media: Download the Windows 10 ISO file for the older version you want to install (in this case, 20H1) from the official Microsoft website. Use the ISO to create a bootable installation media (USB or DVD).
  3. Boot from the Installation Media: Insert the bootable installation media into your computer, restart it, and boot from the installation media. You might need to change the boot order in your BIOS/UEFI settings to prioritize the installation media.
  4. Start the Installation Process: Follow the on-screen instructions to start the installation process. When you reach the installation type selection, choose the "Custom" option, which will allow you to perform a clean install.
  5. Select the Previous Windows Partition: During the installation process, you will see a list of partitions on your hard drive. Select the partition where the previous version of Windows 10 (20H1) is installed.
  6. Format the Partition: Choose the "Format" option to remove the existing Windows 10 version from the partition. This will erase all data on that partition, so ensure you have already backed up your important files.
  7. Install Windows 10 20H1: Proceed with the installation by following the on-screen prompts. The system will install Windows 10 20H1 on the formatted partition.
  8. Complete the Setup: After the installation is complete, follow the setup process to configure your settings, create a user account, and complete the setup.
Remember, downgrading to an older version of Windows 10 is a complex process, and it might not always be successful. Additionally, it's crucial to keep your operating system up-to-date for security and performance reasons. If you have specific reasons for downgrading, consider reaching out to Microsoft support or a professional technician to discuss your situation and explore other potential solutions.

  1. Back Up Your Data: Ensure all your important files are backed up to an external drive or cloud storage.
  2. Download the Older Windows Version: Obtain the ISO file of the older Windows version (in your case, 20H1).
  3. Create a Bootable USB Drive:
    • Download and install a tool like Rufus or the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.
    • Use this tool to create a bootable USB drive with the older Windows version.
  4. Boot from the USB Drive:
    • Insert the USB drive into your computer.
    • Restart your computer and boot from the USB drive. This process varies depending on your computer's manufacturer and model.
  5. Install the Older Windows Version:
    • Follow the installation prompts. When prompted for a product key, enter the key for the version of Windows you're installing.
  6. Complete the Setup:
    • Set up your user account, preferences, and any initial settings.
  7. Install Drivers and Updates:
    • After installation, make sure to install necessary drivers for your hardware and then run Windows Update to get the latest security updates.

It's better to reinstall your previous version of Windows from the beginning. but you can also downgrade by going to Windows update settings and clicking uninstall all updates.

Downgrading Windows versions can be a complex process and may not always be possible without a clean installation. Here's a general outline of the steps you can take, but please note that this process involves significant risk, and it's crucial to back up your important files before proceeding:

1. **Backup Your Data**: Before attempting any downgrade or major system change, it's essential to back up all your important files to an external drive or cloud storage.

2. **Download Windows 10 ISO**: You'll need to obtain the ISO file for the version of Windows you want to downgrade to. You can download official ISO files from the Microsoft website.

3. **Create Installation Media**: Use the downloaded ISO file to create a bootable USB drive or DVD. You can use tools like Rufus or the Media Creation Tool provided by Microsoft for this purpose.

4. **Boot from Installation Media**: Insert the bootable USB drive or DVD into your computer and restart it. Enter the BIOS or UEFI settings to change the boot order so that your computer boots from the installation media.

5. **Install Previous Version**: Follow the on-screen prompts to install the previous version of Windows. During the installation process, you may be prompted to format your hard drive, so ensure you have backed up all your important data.

6. **Complete Installation**: Once the installation is complete, follow the prompts to set up Windows and configure your preferences.

7. **Install Updates**: After downgrading, your system will likely prompt you to install updates. It's essential to keep your system up-to-date with security patches and fixes.

8. **Restore Data**: Once Windows is installed, you can restore your backed-up data from the external drive or cloud storage.

Please note that downgrading Windows versions can lead to compatibility issues, and some of your applications and drivers may not work correctly with the older version. Additionally, Microsoft may not provide support for older versions, so it's essential to consider these factors before proceeding with the downgrade.
