Make sure the cooling fan(s) is in good condition test it and see the temp and the usage

Use a GPU stress test and [strike]run it for 24 hours [/strike]to see if there are any flickers or crashes. Most people use furmark since it's free

I always monitor VGA temperature and how it work with heavy workload. that is how i check my VGA.
