How to save modded game data/progress if there is a update availaible

there is no way, because it has the modified files so if you want to save any progress you should have accessed an account and thus save it in the game information cloud.

Thanks, dude. What I did was renamed the original data folder in the directory Android/data and uninstalled the apk. The data does not get deleted as the folder is renamed. After this, i installed the updated mod apk and then went to the directory Android/data again and renamed my games data folder to the original previous name, and the game was successfully working with my progress saved.

Rename the file at first before you update it then after updating bring it back to its original name. that should do it.

As far as I know you have to login to save your progress you can't save it if it use Google play login only Facebook or third party login method work
