First of all you must decide to in which language do you want to learn.
I want to recommend you a few languages but of course it can change by your requests.
C++: (as far as i know many people using this language for in-game cheating)
C#
Python (this language is most popular language in the world.)
VB.Net:
has similar things with C# and still remains its popularity, but i think it almost die.
But its perfect to making your first steps in programming. I started in VB too, and the good thing is when you understand VB.NET, you can switch to C# easily.
