People usually say that, when in some games there is a troll, or an afk leaves, when your team is reflected with a lower level, and I think that in a game where there are millions of players it is normal, I think that goes by season, sometimes Sometimes there are a lot of good players and sometimes they are all trolls, mostly they start trolling when they lose their minds because of some play that went wrong
it will never die, Riot will continue supporting it to its fullest as Riot Games as a company is also growing so much these past few years and making a lot of new projects that are connected to the League of Legends world (Runeterra) just look at the series Arcane, they gained so many new fans and players with that, it was and will continue to be such a success

lot of people are playing wild rift tho so with Wild rift on phone , the arcane on netflix , the bangers on spotify (KDA, imagine dragons), they're getting new players (me included) i started playing lol 2 weeks ago

I think it's still losing a lot of OLD PLAYERS but it's rewarded with NEW PLAYERS, so it's balanced and nobody loses.It’s not dying. There are a lot of people saying that, but the active players is actually only increasing. I’ve seen countless people saying things like “League of Legends is the worst game” or “only trash plays League of Legends” among other things. It’s likely that they have just had really negative experiences with the game, which isn’t really surprising. The toxicity of the community is really rampant, but it’s not the only place. Overwatch has become incredibly toxic, too, since competitive came out.
People love competition. Some people take it too seriously—too many people. And they speak the loudest. “League is dying” and “this game is driving itself into the ground” etc. etc. Their experiences have brought a negative light on the game, unfortunately.
Either way, though, no. It’s not dying at all. Other games have taken a bit of spotlight, definitely, but League is always trying to please its players. Balance is difficult and can spur many people to say negative things as well, but Riot knows what they’re doing.
League is going to be around for years to come.
