turkish server is still active and toxicIt’s not dying. There are a lot of people saying that, but the active players is actually only increasing. I’ve seen countless people saying things like “League of Legends is the worst game” or “only trash plays League of Legends” among other things. It’s likely that they have just had really negative experiences with the game, which isn’t really surprising. The toxicity of the community is really rampant, but it’s not the only place. Overwatch has become incredibly toxic, too, since competitive came out.
People love competition. Some people take it too seriously—too many people. And they speak the loudest. “League is dying” and “this game is driving itself into the ground” etc. etc. Their experiences have brought a negative light on the game, unfortunately.
Either way, though, no. It’s not dying at all. Other games have taken a bit of spotlight, definitely, but League is always trying to please its players. Balance is difficult and can spur many people to say negative things as well, but Riot knows what they’re doing.
League is going to be around for years to come.
