It won't die anytime soon but all live service games will end at some point
IMO , when i say league is dying, it means no new players playing the game, why?
try to create an acc like u new to the game and u will see why , full of smurfs , in 10 games, 9 have smurfs if not 10...
how the new player enjoy to get scores like 0/20 every game? -.-
in the end of the day u all playing with same ppl over and over but on different accounts... thats league dying IMO....

League of Legends is not in its best or worst period, it remains stable as in the previous 5 years, I do not think it is dying, much less that it will die, the self-sustainability that the community brings to the game makes it literally can never die.
Impossible, the popularity of League of Legends is still at a very high peak.It’s not dying. There are a lot of people saying that, but the active players is actually only increasing. I’ve seen countless people saying things like “League of Legends is the worst game” or “only trash plays League of Legends” among other things. It’s likely that they have just had really negative experiences with the game, which isn’t really surprising. The toxicity of the community is really rampant, but it’s not the only place. Overwatch has become incredibly toxic, too, since competitive came out.
People love competition. Some people take it too seriously—too many people. And they speak the loudest. “League is dying” and “this game is driving itself into the ground” etc. etc. Their experiences have brought a negative light on the game, unfortunately.
Either way, though, no. It’s not dying at all. Other games have taken a bit of spotlight, definitely, but League is always trying to please its players. Balance is difficult and can spur many people to say negative things as well, but Riot knows what they’re doing.
League is going to be around for years to come.
