The higher the refresh rate, the better. However, if you cannot get past 144 FPS (Frames Per Second) in games, there's no need for a 240Hz monitor unless you want to future-proof your system. ... In short, 240Hz makes fast-paced gaming incredibly smooth and fluid.

If you are not playing FPS type games, I suggest that only 144 is enough

144hz is more than enough, but more hz faster you'll see your enemy in fps competitive games like csgo, etc., but still, some pros preferred 144hz than 240

144HZ is more than enough, if you are a casual player, it is difficult to tell the difference for 240HZ.
first of all check your in game fps (use some third party apps (FAPS is the most popular app) to check them if there is no option in game to see them) if you get atleast 250 fps then go for 240hz monitor if not then go for 144 or 165hz monitor it's worth the money spent and also not that expensive nowadays. for serious competitive gaming go for 240hz or even 360hz which is now available.

Overpayment for 240 is not worth it, 144 is quite enough

If you can't get fps over 144 in games, for example; 200-230-250 or something, 144hz will be more than good. But if you're getting over 250fps, you can get 240hz. Since it will not affect the frame rate you can't get, you need to evaluate it thoroughly.

You don't notice much difference between the 2, it's not worth 240.

I was using 165HZ ASUS gaming monitor and then i bought XL2546 240HZ. Yes they have difference beetwen. You can really feel it. If possible for you, have to buy it (2546).

I don't think the human eye can distinguish sharply. I'm using 144hz, I beat my friend who uses 240hz in cs go and valorant.
