sustainability is very vague, be more specific in what you want to discuss.

I like that, sustainability is formed by the trinity of economic, environmental and the social levels. lets assume that sustainability in this position refers to the geographical environment. Based on that assumption, what is the best way to define sustainability?

Agreed! 100% it is difficult to achieve this, that's why it is segmented into three things. Additionally, there something known as Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), which has been agreed upon by 192 countries in Dec 2015. In this agreement, many countries agreed to make amends towards sustainability as a whole topic.

Its difficult to explain such a word in a simple sentence. However, in English, the word 'sustain' means 'to continue doing something'. for example u hear a judge replying to a a lawyer when saying 'objection your honor' with 'sustained' which means in this case continue talking regardless of the objection!

In this thread's sense, sustainability means to continue providing from nature. As in natural resources (such as trees, fish, energy, air, etc.) and natural damage prevention, for new generations to benefit!

I work with heliothermic plants that produce electricity by solar source heating an oil that heats a turbine and generates energy without burning anything, super sustainable

Sustainability implies fulfilling our individual demands without jeopardizing future generations' capacity to achieve their demands. We require social and economic resources in addition to environmental resources. Sustainability is a three-dimensional societal aim that includes environmental, economic, and societal factors. This notion is used to steer consumption decisions at the international, regional, and individual levels.

This is by far the best self-made definition of sustainability. One of the most widely adopted definitions for sustainability is The World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED) Brundtland’s report definition, where Brundtland defined sustainable development in 1987 as development which “meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs” (WCED, 1987, p.16). This definition is usually cited and has become widely adopted and very much influential.

Human, social, economic, and environmental sustainability are the four basic aspects of sustainability. It is indeed crucial to know the form of achieving sustainable development you're engaging in because they're all so varied and shouldn't be lumped indiscriminately, even if some intersect to several degrees.

It is indeed crucial to know the form of achieving sustainable development you're engaging in because they're all so varied and shouldn't be lumped indiscriminately, even if some intersect to several degrees.
There are two models of sustainable development, the first model is the one-pillar model, which is a model that gives priority to the environmental aspect of sustainability. Based on this model, sustainable development should mainly focus on the environment from an ecological perspective, preserving ecological systems and resources that are necessary for economic and social growth, which is part of the important prerequisite for meeting the future needs as Brundtland’s definition states. In this model the economy and the social matters are considered as the main cause for environmental problems, which in turn will require improvements to assure ecological sustainability.

The second model is the three-pillar/multi-pillar model, this model gives equal priority to all three pillars of sustainability, social, economic and environmental pillars. This model is based on the conclusion that human needs cannot be sufficiently met, by providing and only providing an ecologically stable and healthy environment, but rather by providing a society that is committed to sustainability, economic and social efforts are considered resources that require preservation for future generations. The perspective on sustainable development focusses on balancing these three pillars of sustainability, also known as the triple bottom line.

Sustainable development refers to the concept of humankind sustaining themselves through fulfilling their own basic requirements while somehow ensuring that younger generations can satisfy their own basic needs. Sustainability focuses on addressing current needs without endangering the upcoming generation's ability to meet their own.

Sustainability is frequently considered of as a lengthy objective, but sustainable development pertains to the various procedures and routes that might be used to accomplish it.
