Both have their pros and cons, and the decision to choose one over the other ultimately depends on the individual's needs and preferences.
Electric cars are quieter, more environmentally friendly, and have fewer maintenance costs compared to motorized cars. They're also more convenient to charge at home or in public, and are usually quicker to accelerate due to the instant torque of electricity. However, they're typically more expensive and have limited range, especially on longer trips.
Motorized cars, on the other hand, have a larger range, can carry heavier loads, and are easier to refuel at gas stations. They're also more affordable than electric cars, and the infrastructure for refueling is larger and more established. However, motorized cars are usually less environmentally friendly and produce more noise and exhaust emissions.
I think electronic cars have been in motion for long enough that we can consider them fairly safe for general consumption, especially with how cheaper it is to distribute charging stations. However, restricting cars to one type of engine is an indigenous move, since any sort of emergency risk should be followed with a backup plan for that situation. (i.e: in a power shortage, gasoline cars would still have the upper edge of mobility and refuelability)
