I am just sharing this solution in case it might help someone else out.
My game was crashing whenever I loaded the cheat. I tried everything but nothing seemed to be working. I used to try around 10 times before it actually worked.
The solution turned out to be that I needed to launch the game without the cheat then decrease the resolution to the lowest one; change the screen to windowed mode, and finally set the fps limit to 60. After this the cheat is always being successfully launched from the first try. After the game is launched you can revert back to your normal settings.
