This is probably one of the most fun topics I have seen to date here.
First their is no "basic" or "easy" language. Though their are best case use for different languages. Example- if im going to do something that communicates between a client and a server in a bad way. I would probably use LUA. Though C++ and Pearl would be normally used. LUA can get in a bit more spicy and do more.
If im going to build a web page JAVA is a great way to go though HTML will still be best for a splash screen in loading times.
The question is what are you interested in doing. What are the best languages for it? Then how do YOU get started NOW!

generally you learn everything on your own, internet books are very useful there are also online classes on specific topics

For me its phyton there's a lot of tutorials in yt too

I started at python and started learning c++ recently so I guess you should start at python because it's an easy language, I learned by myself by purely reading on some sites and watching some in youtube
