I don't think that's entirely true, you can play games with low spec pc just the selection of games available will be very limited. Sorry
If your pc is bad you can use the nvidia app to play them. it's like a cloud where you can play games no matter how bad your pc is

From task manager disable the startup that you don't need. These app usually automatically turn on each time you boot. It will release some memory.

hmm i use 980 ti no problem so far for the lates game and 16 GB ram is a must in my oppinion for these day
