I'm using Kailh BOX Blacks currently, and they feel pretty good. I'll do my research on the others now, thankswhat you think about this
- Kailh BOX White.
- Kailh BOX Jade.
- Kailh Speed Copper (Best for Gaming)
- NovelKeys Sherbet.
- Cherry MX Blue/White. Runner-Up: Cherry MX Blue Clones (Outemu, Gateron, etc)
If you want really good quality and money is not the issue - Razer Yellow's
If you want good quality cheaper solution Redragon - OUTEMU Browns or Reds
A bit of details:
Razer Yellow - Im using "BlackWidow Tournament Edition v2" as my daily driver for typing and gaming.
A bit pricy solution, but same as with apple, you partly buying in the brand, not just good quality product.
After a year or everyday, normal, use there are no wear down marks in form of some of the switches "caving in" or keycaps loosing their "gripness" and feeling smooth.
Downside is that keyboard is NOT USB-C so you cant use any spare cable that you have around.
Its also "Synapse" dependent to get the most of it. Tho its quite customizable Chroma and macro wise once you have it.
It also comes with really nice, magnetic, palm rest.
Overall - good product, but as i said, just a bit overpriced.
OUTEMU Browns or Reds - im using "Redragon k530" 60% Keyboard for these.
Out of the box and comparing to Razer Yellow's - they dont lag behind with quality a lot, they do lag, but overall they are good quality switches.
Its maybe just me being used on Razer Yellows and their feel after a year of using it.
OBrowns and Reds feel really smooth but feel a bit different when you "bottom out" with them. Cant describe it, but they dont feel as "premium" as Razer does.
I picked k530 since that keyboard has hot-swappable switches so i can experiment with it.
It also has USB-C and Bluetooth 5.0 with two profiles and chargeable battery so you can use it wirelessly.
Tho i dont recommend wireless mode for FPS.
Since its super compact and wireless im carrying it around in my backpack with me.
Downside is that keyboard has really awkward position for USB-C, its on left-top side, like left-left side so that can visualy bother people.
Their Software is quite basic for what i remember, allowing you just to change RGB and Set up patterns. But, on other side you can change RGB via key combination so you can skip their software.
Overall - I would say really good mid range keyboard and switches, i paid $50 for mine and you deffo get more than you paid
I know what you mean in regards to the funky USB-C placement. I'm currently using an ANNE Pro 2 and it's in the same spot as you mentioned, but it doesn't bother me as much as i thought it would. Thank you for the information, i'll add it to the list.If you want really good quality and money is not the issue - Razer Yellow's
