Shooting game. Battle Royale. Arcade as an alternative. :)

Last holiday, I was playing Final Fantasy X and a colleague's girlfriend let out the phrase "this game seems to be pretty boring". Now, an RPG really seems to be, but it has to take into account that the style is more focused on the plot than on the action itself. Even if an RPG game has some action in battles, it is difficult to find a game with action on a God of War level. Final Fantasy XIII looks like it can change this story, but it is too early to say what the style of the game will be. , even the trailers show a high level of action.

Going back to the post question, I prefer more RPG games, exploration (Tomb Raider style), and espionage, like the Splinter Cell or even Metal Gear Solid. And I run away from the shooting games, because they make me sick. I don't know why, but it is easier to play seeing the character than just seeing his vision. So I prefer games with the third person camera!

after I tried to play Devil May Cry, I saw that Sony's game is much better.

But the comparison is a little unfair on my part. The Capcom game was released in 2001, and Sony's in 2005, but I decided to take the first one to see if the 3 is better, since it is more certain to start playing a franchise at the beginning and progress slowly. EGM Brasil says (in edition 68, in the list with the best games for Playstation 2) that the second game sucks, but I want to play anyway, to see if it is really bad or not.

But even preferring styles with less action, you can't deny it: God of War is still on top of the best games I've played. And I'm still looking for the game that can beat the same, but it's difficult. I confess that I played a few games for Playstation 2 in just over a year with the console, but as I am in no hurry to try other games. At least the ones I choose give me good fun, since I haven't reached the level of playing a game just out of obligation (as a journalist). But when I reach this level, then I can be more judicious about my opinions, but at least I will have to try some game that I would not take as a player. The fun can go away, but the more games we play (and really play, not just to reset and go to the next one. It's to enjoy the game!) The better for us, that we can better base our opinions.
