I have to go with Minecraft. The amount of people who hate on the game is unbelievable, even though it has a deep and rich story, a vast and creative multiplayer environment, and even some of the most beautiful and intricate builds you'll ever see! I think people just hate on Minecraft because it's considered a kid's game, but in reality it's one of the most amazing and versatile games ever created!
I believe the most oppressed genre is probably the strategy game, especially when you look at the esports scene. The esports scene is dominated by games like Counter-Strike and League of Legends, which are much more action-oriented games. Strategy games like StarCraft II and Age of Empires II still have strong communities and esports scenes, but they don't receive as much attention or funding as other genres. It's a shame because strategy games are super fun and can be really exciting to watch at a competitive level.
