On the cheat thread it say it works on windows 7,8.1 and 10 so it should be work. But since microsoft give up windows 7 . So you might see various error. So it's better to use windows 10.

If it cannot connect, them something if blocking its connection. Disable firewall, windows defender and your antivirus.
The hardest choices require the strongest will.
