Yasuo's passive actually has two parts:
This is Yasuo's main damage ability. It's a skillshot that deals physical damage to all enemies in a line. If Yasuo casts Steel Tempest during Sweeping Blade, the ability strikes all enemies around him instead.
After landing Steel Tempest twice, the third cast will send out a whirlwind that knocks up enemies. This can also be used in combination with Sweeping Blade for a circular knock-up.
W: Wind Wall
Yasuo creates a moving wall of wind that blocks all enemy projectiles for a few seconds. This can be extremely valuable for blocking crucial enemy abilities, but it has a long cooldown and should be used strategically.
E: Sweeping Blade
Yasuo dashes through an enemy, dealing magic damage. Each cast increases the next dash's base damage by 25% for 5 seconds, up to 50% bonus damage. This ability has no cooldown but can't be used on the same target more than once every few seconds.
If Yasuo uses Steel Tempest during Sweeping Blade, he will strike all enemies around him. If the third Q is ready, this will also knock-up enemies around him.
R: Last Breath
This is Yasuo's ultimate ability. Yasuo blinks to the nearest airborne enemy champion to the cursor, instantly generating maximum Flow. Upon arriving, he suspends all airborne enemies within a 400-radius of his target in the air for 1 second, dealing physical damage thereafter.
After using Last Breath, Yasuo gains 50% bonus armor penetration for 15 seconds. This is a key part of Yasuo's team fight potential, but it requires either a third cast Q knock-up or a teammate's displacement ability to activate.
The typical Yasuo build tends to be Berserker's Greaves, Immortal Shieldbow, Infinity Edge, Bloodthirster, and situational items for the last two slots depending on the enemy team composition.
Advanced Yasuo Plays and Combos:
1. The Beyblade: This move involves executing Yasuo's E-Q combo on a minion or enemy, then flashing onto an enemy champion to extend the range of the knock-up. This can be followed by an ultimate (R) for a surprising engage. The combo sequence is E-Q-Flash-R.
2. The Airblade: This advanced technique allows Yasuo to get an extra Q off during his ultimate. When your Q is stacked twice, you E-Q an enemy and then immediately cast your ultimate. The sequence is E-Q (3rd stack)-R.
3. The Keyblade: This is a combination of the Beyblade and Airblade. It's a flashy combo that can surprise enemies and deal a lot of damage. The sequence is E-Q-Flash (Beyblade), then quickly E-Q-R (Airblade) another enemy.
4. Wall Dash: Yasuo can dash through thin walls if a jungle monster or enemy champion is close enough on the other side. This can be useful for making escapes or chasing down enemies. Use your E (Sweeping Blade) on the target to perform the dash.
5. Double Tornado: With careful timing and positioning, you can actually hit an enemy with two tornados in a row. To do this, you need to hit an enemy with the knock-up from your third Q, then quickly land two more Qs and a second tornado before the knock-up duration ends. This can be followed by your ultimate for a high damage burst.
Champions with knock-ups or displacements synergize well with Yasuo, as they can set up his ultimate. Good examples are Malphite, Alistar, and Gragas.

Champion Overview
Yasuo is a melee AD carry that typically plays in the mid lane. He excels at dueling and can be very mobile with his E (Sweeping Blade) and Q (Steel Tempest). He has a unique passive (Way of the Wanderer) that gives him a shield and doubles his critical strike chance, and his ultimate (Last Breath) can be a game changer in team fights, especially when combined with other champions that can knock up enemies.Skills
Passive: Way of the WandererYasuo's passive actually has two parts:
- Intent: Yasuo's critical strike chance is doubled, but the damage of his critical strikes is reduced by 10%.
- Resolve: Yasuo gains a Flow stack for every 59 units he travels by any means. At maximum Flow, the next enemy champion or monster to hit Yasuo will consume all Flow to shield him for 1.5 seconds.
This is Yasuo's main damage ability. It's a skillshot that deals physical damage to all enemies in a line. If Yasuo casts Steel Tempest during Sweeping Blade, the ability strikes all enemies around him instead.

Runes and Builds
While Yasuo's builds can vary depending on the game, Conqueror is often taken as the primary Keystone due to Yasuo's ability to stack it quickly. Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, and Last Stand often round out the Precision tree. For secondary, Taste of Blood and Ravenous Hunter are popular choices in the Domination tree for sustain. The typical Yasuo build tends to be Berserker's Greaves, Immortal Shieldbow, Infinity Edge, Bloodthirster, and situational items for the last two slots depending on the enemy team composition.
Gameplay Tips and Tricks
- Mastering the E-Q combo: This is Yasuo's bread and butter combo, and mastering it can significantly improve your gameplay. Use E to dash through a minion, and press Q while dashing to perform a spinning attack that hits all nearby enemies.
- Wind Wall usage: Yasuo's W can block all enemy projectiles, which can be a lifesaver in many situations. However, it has a long cooldown, so use it wisely.
- Synergizing with team's knock-ups: Yasuo's ultimate can be activated off any knock-up or displacement ability. Try to coordinate with your team to make the most of this.
- Wave Management: Yasuo is highly dependent on minion waves for mobility, so learning how to manipulate waves can be crucial to winning the lane.
- Playing safe early: Yasuo can be quite vulnerable to ganks, especially before he gets his Wind Wall. Play safe and farm up in the early game, and try to punish any mistakes your opponent makes.

Counters and Synergy
Yasuo has a difficult time against champions with point and click CC, as they can lock him down and prevent him from dashing around. Malzahar, Annie, and Twisted Fate can be particularly problematic.Champions with knock-ups or displacements synergize well with Yasuo, as they can set up his ultimate. Good examples are Malphite, Alistar, and Gragas.
