having a laptop is more convenient for me, as there isnt really any space for a stationary setup in my apartment, so having a laptop means i could just place it anywhere and game as usual, though having a proper pc build is pretty good too. AMD seems to be having rapid development on their GPUs...
just play anything you want man, they both have their own pros and cons, although i still think csgo has a higher pro scene than valorant currently has, as having abilities/being a hero shooter would not have a lot of reliance on mechanical skills as pure tactical. take overwatch as an example.
if you don't look like you don't know what to do at all yet still able to perform sick plays then you would probably stand out more with your scripts. my suggestion is to either test out with a smurf account for a couple matches and maybe practice your own gaming abilities, as it will look more...

sounds like a bad idea but hey in my defense if you add a little bit of your own skill to your scripts it makes it look/feel more natural + helps getting better gamesense, there are just some things that you can't really do with scripts (etc: better map awareness, etcc)
you really can't compare those 2, as they are 2 completely different genres, one being a battle royale shooter and the other is a hero/tactical shooter, but id still say valorant, as it is pretty much an easier pacified version of csgo

also 2 things worth noting (tagging along since its related to free stuff/ark)
1. ark might be hosting an in game event this week, which is why the free game was delayed by a week compared to the original leak
2. we're getting the escapists 2 for free next week, which is confirmed by epic games...
