after you load the cheat, don't open the game for 3 sec then open it, this works for me you can try also to inject the cheat in the mid game it also worked for me but i use to open it at the beginning and wait for 3 sec

you need to kill enderman to get his eye then make eye of ender with it you can look how to craft eye of ender on google then you will throw it, it will keep going to the direction that direction is the end look on youtube for more details
