Imo, 19 and 17 yrs old doesn't seem like a big enough of a deal to cancel his whole career but that's just my thoughts on the matter.

Maybe he could not take on trolls.. But there is nothing wrong with a relationship as long you are not over 21 and The girl is under 15. States have different age of consent.
Let say you had relationship start at high school 18(M)-14 (F). That is legal since both of you are in High School..But if the guy is in college 19 and the girl is 14 that illegal..

No there is no problem if the guy is 21 and the Girl is 17.. Ive seen 16 going out with 24. There is no Law that is illegal that 21 cannot have relationship with 17 If both of them are in legal age of consent. EACH state have legal of age consent. You might want to google that.
It will only have problem if the guy is 21 and the female is 15 Below.. Most state Legal of Consent are at age of 16.

It's all good what you posted but pedophiles seek to interact with people under 14 years of age, not with teenagers. For the rest it is illegal due to adolescent immaturity and not having consent to the acts until the age of 21

Tbh i don't see anything wrong with sexting someone as long as they respond...and if someone responded just so that they can blame this guy for that, i think that the problem is with ill intent person that wanted to gain something bad from this.
