How to save modded game data/progress if there is a update availaible

Hello everyone. I wanted to know if there was a way to save data of a modded game in this case, the Asphalt 9 modded version. As an update comes for the game, you have to uninstall the game and install the updated mod for the game as otherwise, the game won't work unless it is updated, And of course, the data gets lost if you uninstall the game. As I am using the mod APK version, it cannot be synced with the server and save progress online, So I wanted to know if there was a way to save the progress/data of the game in case there is an update available.

It worked this way,
Thanks, dude. What I did was renamed the original data folder in the directory Android/data and uninstalled the apk. The data does not get deleted as the folder is renamed. After this, i installed the updated mod apk and then went to the directory Android/data again and renamed my games data folder to the original previous name, and the game was successfully working with my progress saved.

how about facebook login? dont use google play account

you have to find the location where the modded data are located.. then update the game.. and then paste the files to the same location where it was before.. thats what i did on GTA

why are you playing modded asphalt 9 the game is fun in its way but eh i seen people done it check youtube prob there is so many tutorial for it

As far as I know progress is almost never deleted with updates at least online games that are the ones I play

Just find the save location and move this file before update, update it and move it back
