Galaxy Slayer Zed is probably the best skin to use. Feels and looks great. A lot of popular Zed one-tricks also use it also.

Yone has better carry potential and allows more mistakes to be made because of his kit (low cd, high damage, built in shield, 2 skills with CCs and wider aoe)

The meta also changes. So despite them adding more champions, there are only a certain percentage used in ranked and competitive play. As a semi-casual player, I like having the option to play non-meta champions though.

If you are serious about getting good with League without the use of scripts, I recommend using Ryze. He is god-tier when it comes to learning how to manage your cooldowns.
