to my knowle With some tuning, the RTX 2080 makes the most sense for gamers with 4K monitors and it is better than RTX 3050 by a margin. Though serious gamers hardly play at 4k. For everyone else, especially those on 1080p or even 1440p monitors, the RTX 3050 could be the better value choice in the short term.

The 3050 is ewaste. Better off buying an AMD 6000 series card at a similar price point. Obviously a used 2080 kicks its ass.
